Martin Schop

Martin Schop, born in the Netherlands and living in Montreal, earned a degree in Art Photography at Concordia University. He uses a pinhole camera to capture views of sublime landscapes. With its prolonged exposures, this process lends special effects to his large-format photographs. He also creates etchings from digital drawings of maritime works by the great Dutch masters, for which he has printing rights. Martin has a custom frame studio in the Mile End Allied building. In the front, his team of craftspeople create museum-quality frames for artworks; in the back, a dust-free room is used to mount and finish frames and laminate posters and photography.
